Laurie Coskey – Chair, Interfaith/Intergroup
Since 2001, Rabbi Laurie has served as the Executive Director of the Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice and she is the Co-Chairperson of Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice – California. Additionally, Rabbi Coskey is a Board Member of Interfaith Worker Justice. Deeply committed to public education, she is Chairperson of the San Diego Community College District Trustee Advisory Board, and as an expert in multi faith relationships, she is Rabbi in Residence at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral.
Rabbi Coskey completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University and received Rabbinic ordination at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in 1985. After serving a large San Diego Congregation for eight years, she completed her doctorate in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego in 2000. She was awarded her Doctorate of Divinity in 2010. Her almost thirty year career as a rabbi has been marked by a commitment to issues of social justice.
